Located on Historic Nantasket Pier
Its origins dating back to the 1930s, when steamboats like ‘The Eagle’ would connect Boston to the South Shore. Much has changed since these classic boats moored in Hull.
The name "Nantasket" is derived from Wampanoag and means "low-tide place" or "where tides meet", referring to the fact that the site was originally a tidal island connected to the mainland by a sandbar that would emerge only at low tide. Until Hull was incorporated in 1644, English settlers referred to the entire local region as "Nantasket Peninsula".
Today, Steamboat Wharf Marina offers Seasonal Slip Rental, Winter Storage, Boat Maintenance, Boat Hauling, Mechanical Service, Guest Dockage and a seasonal restaurant, The Drift. We also provide Dock Design, Construction, and Installation. And Suzuki outboard motor and parts sales and service.
